Downtown Longwood
The city of Longwood, Florida is a small community of around 13,000 residents with a keen sense of history. Its active Historic Society, founded in 1969, not only records the town’s past but acquires, preserves and restores its historic buildings. Two such structures, the Bradlee-McIntyre House and the Inside-Outside House are found in the city’s downtown Historic District.
The 1872 Inside-Outside House is believed to be patterned after the cabins of 19th-century whaling ships. It was built in New England and shipped to Florida aboard a coastal schooner.
The area is home to the Wekiva Springs State Park offering nature enthusiasts a peaceful retreat. Longwood also has an excellent library that offers plenty of family friendly activities such as storytimes and lego clubs. Its proximity to other attractions in the greater Orlando area makes it a perfect base for exploring everything that Central Florida has to offer.

The independent city of Longwood is a charming town in central Florida south of Altamonte Springs.
